Tom Crespo
Tom Crespo is co-anchor, weeknights on CW33 News at Nine with Terri Chappell.
Tom has been an anchor/reporter at KDAF-TV since CW33 News at Nine began in 1999. Tom began as weekend anchor/reporter for the News at Nine, but was promoted to the weekday anchor position in 2002.
Before moving to Dallas, Tom was anchor/reporter in Jacksonville, Florida. He was involved in extensive live coverage of Florida's bout with wildfires in the summer of 1998. He also covered several near-misses by hurricanes on the First Coast. Tom has also worked as morning anchor and reporter in Augusta, Georgia, and as an anchor/reporter in Tallahassee, Florida and Meridian, Mississippi.
During his time in North Texas, Tom has volunteered with several local groups, including Mi Escuelita Preschools.
Tom was born and raised in the New Orleans suburb of St. Bernard Parish -- one of the areas hardest hit by Hurricane Katrina. In his younger days, he spent a lot of time in the marshlands, hunting and fishing.
Tom graduated from Louisiana State University with a degree in Journalism. He and his wife Kandice have two young sons, Alex and Chris, who were both born in Texas.
