The objective of "A Child To Love" is to find permanent homes for children currently in the Texas Foster Care System who are available for adoption.

With over 28,000 Texas children in foster care, the need for a program such as "A Child to Love" is profound. The objective of this campaign is to find permanent homes for children currently in the Texas Foster Care System who are available for adoption. A different child will be featured each Monday on CW33 News At Nine.

Elwood is a handsome young man with a loving and bubbly personality. Elwood is a caring person who puts others before himself. He is well mannered and respectful. He is a throw back to a time when children said "thank you", "please", "yes mam" and "no sir". He believes you owe others respect and shows it in many ways. He leaves others smiling and knowing that he really cares. Elwood likes to help around the house, especially mowing the grass. He likes to play memory games. He is a very visual learner. When he is interested in something, he likes to know all about that subject and will go look it up in the library.

Elwood enjoys school and does well in classes. He is in some special education classes and receives speech therapy. He states his favorite subject is his wildlife class. Elwood loves gospel songs and scriptures. He has many interests but is especially interested in fishing & hunting. He loves to fish and currently states that he would like to be a professional fisherman. He loves looking at the stars through his telescope and wants to learn more about astronomy. Elwood has seen all the Star Wars movies and is a huge fan. Elwood loves cars and knowing how they work and would like to go to mechanic school.

Elwood wants what he calls his "forever family". He wants a family that loves God and who are committed to helping others. Elwood wants a family that his time for him and working with him on projects. He would like a sibling but will adjust if he is the only child. He wants a family that likes animals and the outdoors like fishing and hunting. Elwood's forever family will need patience and understanding as he is extremely bonded to his current foster family. ckly.
